LLaura 1 Report post Posted November 11, 2010 Admin u think a category for Fear of Success can be added also? I've searched the web high and low for a name for it, somthingophobia .. but come up empty, but it's more commmon than ppl think and often is behind many cases of agorophobia and social phobia and i for one that has a long history of trying to deal with it could use some discussion of it here, as do a few others here. Did a web search for forum activity on this and only came up with some threads on it on oddball sites. A m/h site with a dedicated category for it would bring in plenty of ppl, i'm sure (ok enough sales pitch, sorry). Thx LLaura
Amanda 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2010 I think on the old forum, a place to discuss the chat room worked quite well - anyone else think its a commodity that we may require in the future?
LLaura 1 Report post Posted November 11, 2010 I think on the old forum, a place to discuss the chat room worked quite well - anyone else think its a commodity that we may require in the future? Yep, agree there Amanda. A place for any chat room issues, notices, alerts and compliments/complaints can go. Esp useful for when chat server goes down and ppl are lost.. well see Forum on that. LLaura (btw, admin if any of these suggestions are already in the works, then apologies)
gavin 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2010 two ideas. first one is to ditch the user rep/rating system, people dont take criticism well and a negative remark can start an open forum war. second, lock the pictures area out for people who arnt logged in to the forums, just as a matter of courtesy / privacy. Admin 6 Report post Posted November 17, 2010 two ideas. first one is to ditch the user rep/rating system, people dont take criticism well and a negative remark can start an open forum war. second, lock the pictures area out for people who arnt logged in to the forums, just as a matter of courtesy / privacy. First idea: don't post if you don't like it, It's for topic posts not people. Second idea: don't post a picture and make it public if you do not want other people to see it. Actually the pictures above the forum were off putting so i have removed them, People can still view the Gallery. Admin.

Cat 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2010 Have thought for a while about adding a section to the forum or homepage for listing helpline numbers, local mental health or social services etc. It's a common occurrence for people to ask about them, especially newbies, and because this is a global chatroom it's unusual for someone to have the information to hand. Often by the time it's been dug up the person asking has left. If we had a page for it this might not happen so much. As much as we like to help people 'in-house' there are times when we just don't have the info or ability to assist in any practical way, for things like suicidal feelings or addiction problems for example. Would be good to have something to refer people to in these cases. I'd be happy to do some research and info gathering if people think this is a good idea. david 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2010 Hi David Please could you elaborate a bit more regarding the above statement eg: which posts and why plus where do you suggest they go I will then if need be rearrange to suit your needs , like to keep the clients here happy ya know dino Sure, i was reffering to the threads "mws - PLEASE READ" and "For LLaura". Those could not be any more On-Topic and seems sorta odd theyre in the Off-Topic section but i think there needs to be another section added to the forum...maybe a Serious/Main/General Discussion or something of that nature. Or could just change the name of the Forum section and put serious discussions there. Just my observation..
